Fresh Water Sampling, Fish Inventory
The main objective of the EXP 8 Gill Net is to conduct an accurate sampling of a watercourse with a net consisting of 8 panels with different
mesh
sizes in order to make a complete inventory of species in an environment according to the standards established by the MFFP
- The experimental gillnet is used to survey fish populations (age or size classes, maturity stages) in fresh or salt water.
- They are made of mesh sections of different sizes.
- Any combination is possible, but standards (length, depth, mesh, filament type, color) exist for various applications and jurisdictions.
- These 6 ft. deep nets have a floating headline (top) and a lead line (bottom).
- The sections are arranged in order from largest to smallest mesh.
- Different models can be manufactured to suit different needs.
