The main objective of the EXP 8 Gill Net is to conduct an accurate sampling of a watercourse with a net consisting of 8 panels with different

mesh

sizes in order to make a complete inventory of species in an environment according to the standards established by the MFFP

The experimental gillnet is used to survey fish populations (age or size classes, maturity stages) in fresh or salt water.
They are made of mesh sections of different sizes.
Any combination is possible, but standards (length, depth, mesh, filament type, color) exist for various applications and jurisdictions.
These 6 ft. deep nets have a floating headline (top) and a lead line (bottom).
The sections are arranged in order from largest to smallest mesh.
Different models can be manufactured to suit different needs.
